Katie McRae, Executive Director

Hello, I’m Katie McRae, I wasn’t born a native Texan,
but got here just as fast as I could.

My husband, Ken, and I have lived in Temple since 2007 and are raising our four kids: Liam, Liv, Lucie, Elizabeth and our puppy, Molly Blue. I have a degree in B.S. Christian Leadership from Liberty University and have 20 years of leadership experience working in the corporate sector and, later, our church.

Ken and I spend much of our time at church, Temple Bible Church, where we worship and serve, together. I have always felt called to care for children & families in crisis and I love showing others how they are too. James 1:27.

My favorites are hanging with family, exploring new places, organizing chaos & studying the Word of God.

Hello, Mary, here! After moving to the Central Texas area in 2018 to attend the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Go Cru!), pursuing a degree in social work,
I fell in love with this community! I went on to obtain my master's degree in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington and have recently become licensed.

My passion for working with children and families began in my own time in foster care. I am continually amazed how God has used my story to bring me to
Foster Love.

I enjoy spending time with my church small group, DIY projects, and taking road trips.

Hi, I’m Joy! I have been married for 18 years to Anson and we have three daughters that keep us very busy with FFA, basketball, cheer and doing all the things!

While I was in college I began working in the surf apparel industry and spent 9 years designing clothes in California, until I had Emerson, 16 years ago. Our family of 3 moved to Paarl, South Africa for a couple years as missionaries and returned back to the U.S. just before I had our second child, Reese.

Over the next 11 years, I was a pastor’s wife, homeschool mom, florist and our youngest, Frankie, came along. My favorite things are my Bible, hot tea, singing to We the Kingdom, family weekend getaways and my pups, Dolly & Mabel.
I will always be a beach girl at heart, but really enjoy a Texas sunset with some chips and queso!
